Genus Limnodromus

It is difficult to differentiate between short and long-billed dowitchers. The following guesses were based mainly on location: short-billed are more likely found at the sea shore and long-billed are more likely to be found inland. The May 14th photo of a flying "long-billed" dowitcher was tentatively identified via the white axillaries (armpit) area. However, its bill is on the short side, so who knows?

It is difficult to differentiate between greater and lesser yellowlegs so these identifications may be wrong.
